As researchers of D2LAB, we expertise in modelling, controlling and optimizing of dynamical systems, especially mechatronics & industrial robotics. We are eager to interact with passionate colleagues to design sustainable & human centered technology.
D2LAB is part of the Department of Electromechanical, System and Metals Engineering within the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture at Ghent University. D2LAB is active in the Flanders AI Research program and is affiliated with the Flanders Make.
Our mission is to endow mechatronic & industrial robotic systems with improved functionalities and capabilities. We propose new designs using advanced modelling, control & optimization methodologies. Our research pursues sustainable and human centered technologies.
Our work clusters into four main topics: modelling, control, optimization & robotics. We perform both curiousity driven fundamental work as well as application oriented system development. Take a look at our research page to find out more.
